What is Omega Active?
Omega Active is a Super Omega-3 containing 1,362mg of Omega-3 Fish Oil per two capsule serving. A natural source of Omega-3 fatty acids with a powerful combination of 756mg EPA and 504mg DHA.
The easy to swallow capsules have a unique plant-based enteric shell, which prevents the capsules breaking down in the stomach, instead breaking down in the upper intestinal tract, which aids absorption and prevents any fishy aftertaste. This plant-based capsule ensures the product is suitable for pescatarians.
Recommended for anyone 15 years and older and also suitable while pregnant and breastfeeding, these Super Omega-3 capsules support our Brain, Vision and our Heart. Maternal intake contributes to the normal brain and eye development of the foetus and breastfed infants. This supplement carries the Friend of the Sea certification.
How does it work?
Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid that supports our brain, vision and heart. Our body cannot produce Omega-3 therefore we must consume it through our diet or supplementation. Foods rich in Omega-3 are oily fish, nuts and seeds.
There are 3 main forms of Omega-3 fatty acids and they are EPA, DHA and ALA.
DHA supports brain and vision and when taken while pregnant it supports normal eye and brain development of the foetus and maternal intake while breastfeeding further supports the infant's normal eye and brain development. EPA and DHA combined contribute to the normal function of the heart.
How should it be taken?
We recommend that you take two capsules per day to achieve 756mg EPA and 504mg DHA. They can be taken any time of day, we recommend taking them before or with food. Wait at least 30 minutes before consuming a hot drink.
